Wow, February is already here. I told myself after my post last month, that I would do better, I wouldn't let the month get away from me and I would have a more cohesive submission put together this time around. Part of that is true. Part of it isn't. The month did get away from me, as they so often do, but I did manage to put together a more organized share for this second post of the year.
Photography is my hobby. I don't do this for anyone but me. I photograph my family, living our lives and doing what has become so routine. I have challenged myself to try and find the artistic beauty in our every day living and sometimes that means I have to stretch my creativity a little. We don't live in this fantastically, naturally, gorgeous setting surrounded by mountains or oceans or even woods or trees, and most of our winter is very very gray. The sun may peek out one or two days a week but I don't count on it. So our every day, in our own little world we've created, it is.
Winter here is cold, very very cold so we spend so much of our time indoors. I found this month, that we spend a lot of that indoor time around our stairs. We go up them and down them what seems like hundreds of times during the day. We play on them. We might even rest on them. I took notice and decided that this month, I would photograph what happens around our stairs.
This is a glimpse into my life.
